William R. Jungman, DDS, Owner
Dr. Jungman and Dr. Kangas are the parents of fours sons: Robert, a dentist, Brian, and electrical engineer, Nick, a student at CSU San Marcos, and David, a senior at San Pasqual High School. All four Jungman boys are Eagle Scouts.
Dr. Jungman’s professional involvement includes serving as a UCSD volunteer faculty member in the department of family medicine. He has spent nearly two months in 2008 and 2012 as a volunteer dentist aboard the Navy hospital ship Mercy performing humanitarian aid on several south Pacific islands and Vietnam. He is also the CSUSM Pre-dental advisor, and has mentored pre-dental students at UCSD, SDSU, and USD and PLNU. Dr. Jungman is the consulting dentist for the Escondido and San Marcos Joslyn senior centers. He has volunteered and performed dental services for a large number of low income and free clinics since becoming a dentist.
Dr. Jungman is an active volunteer and board member with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (link to B&B site). He has served many positions on the board, including Board and Finance chairs, as well as the Boys and Girls Club Area Council Chair. During his many years of service, he has received numerous national and local service awards.
Dr. Jungman is also very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. He serves as a council board member for the San Diego Imperial Council (link to BSA-SDIC website), Senior Assistant Scoutmaster and his dental practice is the chartered sponsoring organization for Cub Scout Pack 659 and Venture Crew 649.
His hobbies include travel, hunting, fishing, and collecting antique books and maps about San Diego.
