What is a Partial?
A partial denture is a removable appliance that is supported by the remaining teeth in your mouth. It consists of multiple teeth mounted on a gum colored base. Many design options are available to accommodate your dental situation and personal preferences. With thorough planning and advanced procedures, “partials” can be quite natural in appearance and comfortable to wear. What is a Denture?
A full denture is a complete set of upper or lower teeth mounted on a gum colored base. For many patients, dentures are a low maintenance way to replace missing teeth. Over time, wear and shrinkage of bone and gums may cause the fit and appearance of dentures to change. If your dentures feel loose or teeth are worn or chipped, ask us about your options for repair or replacement. Our many years of experience working with denture patients and an excellent dental lab allow us to give dentures wearers complete “dental makeovers” for beautiful results and function. Implants
If you have had difficulty with the comfort or fit of your denture, dental implants may be an option for you. Our periodontal surgeon is often able to place implants right here in our Escondido office. When implants are placed in your jaw, dentures can be attached to the implant posts for a secure “snap in” fit. Implant supported dentures will not only restore your smile and your confidence, but you’ll also be able to enjoy the foods you may have given up.
