Meet the Staff
Julie E. Kangas, DDS, Owner
Dr. Julie E. Kangas was raised in Idaho and after graduating from Boise State University in 1977, she moved to southern California to attend dental school. She graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1981, where she met and later married Dr. Wm. R. Jungman. She always loved the family feel of Escondido, and chose the area to establish their practice.
Dr. Kangas takes great pride in her profession and has specialized in cosmetic dentistry for over twenty years. She is the former president of the San Diego Women Dentists. She serves as the vice president of membership for the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and was recently named one of the top ten businesswomen for 2008 by the national committee. Dr. Jungman and Dr. Kangas are the first husband and wife dentists inducted into the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration.
She spends her spare time raising her four boys with her husband for over 25 years and serving on several charitable foundations and community organizations. In 2005, she joined a Hurricane Katrina rebuilding team.
